Mace goes for quadruple success at Building Awards 2011

  • Evelyn Grace Academy is up for public building project of the year.
  • The Royal Shakespeare Theatre transformation is up for project of the year.

Mace has been shortlisted in four categories for the Building Awards 2011, reflecting another successful year for the global consultancy and construction company.

The awards, to be held in early April, will recognise the industry’s most innovative performers in the current challenging and competitive market.

“We are obviously delighted and honoured to be, once again, nominated for these prestigious industry awards,” said Mace’s Chairman and CEO, Stephen Pycroft.

“Despite the difficult economy, 2010 was a good year for Mace and one where we celebrated our 20th anniversary, consolidated operations into a united global brand and continued to win big projects with our integrated services approach.”

Mace is a finalist in the following categories:

  • Project/Construction management firm of the year – Mace
  • Contractor (up to £300m) of the year – Mace
  • Public building project of the year – Evelyn Grace Academy
  • Project of the Year – Royal Shakespeare Theatre Transformation, entered with Bennetts Associates

The annual Building Awards ceremony recognises the construction industry‘s top performers and encourages sustained performance and further development throughout the sector.
