On the back of a very well received presentation at last year's 'Which Way Now?' careers conference for year nine pupils at Rickmansworth School, Terry Spraggett was invited to attend this year's event which took place on Wednesday 14th January.
The event has been developed to give students that are about to choose their GCSE subjects an idea of what's involved in various possible careers and as previously, Terry's presentation proved to be one of the more popular on the day. Pupils were invited to give feedback and some of their comments are below:
"This was the best talk. It was interesting with a lot of information."
"The man that came was very friendly and funny. He showed us that not every part of the job can be boring and he showed some of the projects his company is working on."
"I enjoyed this talk and learned a lot."
"This was really good because it showed all the projects that are done just by one company."
"He was very informative and hands-on. In my opinion this was the best talk."
One year ten student who attended last year's event has expressed an interest in an apprenticeship with Mace Plus when he turns 16, so in addition to being good PR, Terry's involvement with the school may well open doors for the construction experts of tomorrow.
